The Sylva Project is excited to announce the release of Sylva V1.5, delivering new capabilities that strengthen flexibility, interoperability, and resilience across cloud-native telco infrastructures.
Multi-Kubernetes Distribution Support
Sylva continues its commitment to openness with expanded multi-Kubernetes (K8s) support through the Sylva Cluster Manager. Version 1.5 now supports multiple K8s distributions, including:
- Canonical Kubernetes (new) – production-grade integration ensuring robust performance and reliability
- OpenShift (OKD) (new) – with full support coming in Sylva V1.6
- RKE2 (Rancher Kubernetes Engine)
- Vanilla Kubernetes

Enhanced Backup and Restore
The Cluster Backup & Restore capabilities have been upgraded with Velero tooling, providing advanced backup policy management and faster, more reliable restoration to help operators safeguard critical deployments.
Continuous Innovation
Sylva V1.5 introduces OpenNebula as a new infrastructure provider—joining Bare Metal, OpenStack, and vSphere. This integration broadens deployment options and demonstrates Sylva’s ongoing dedication to a flexible and vendor-neutral cloud ecosystem.
